Freedom 52R Installation Guide:
Important: Your Tactical Trap is equipped with an RFID lock with Bluetooth and comes with 2 keycards:
We recommend replacing the batteries used for shipping with new high alkaline AAA batteries such as Duracell or Energizer; you will need four AAA batteries. The batteries should be changed every 4-6 months. We also suggest removing the backup battery pack from inside the shelf and storing it in a safe place in case your batteries die.

WHAT IS THE SOUND SILENCER/BUZZER CARD?
You’ll notice you have 3 RFID cards (2 for Bluetooth locks) to unlock your shelf, and now 1 card labeled Sound Silencer or Buzzer card. Your RFID lock is equipped with a beeping noise, the purpose of that is to let you know your firearms are not secured and the shelf is unlocked. One swipe/scan of the Sound Silencer card will disable the beep totally. To restore it, swipe the Sound Silencer card again. That’s it!
**We recommend not silencing the shelf until you have it mounted and adjusted correctly. If you disable the beep before making sure the shelf closes and is in alignment correctly, your firearms will not be secured. Please make sure you allow the beep until you are certain the shelf is in perfect alignment.**

How to cut out the foam insert:
Note: the beveled edge of the foam insert will fit against the sloped front interior of the shelf
Lay the foam insert on the floor. Lay your gear on top… push down snugly and trace them using a marker.
Make sure if you’re tracing your firearms that they are unloaded and the chamber is empty!
Next, cut out the foam carefully using a sharp razor/utility knife. It’s recommend that you cut
through at least ¾ of the foam for a handgun and all the way through for most rifles.
The more time you take to do this correctly the better your gear will fit. Don’t be sloppy
with this because the foam is designed to hold your gear in place when the unit lowers. If the
cuts are not precise you run the risk of your gear falling out when opening the shelf.
Also, keep in mind the more cavities you cut out the less adhesive backing you will have
to hold your gear in place. The shelf is only designed to hold a single rife or pistol
(depending on the type of shelf you ordered), a flashlight and some extra magazines.

How to Use a Battery Backup Pack and Change your Batteries:
|
Please note that when changing your batteries, all of our locks require 4 AAA batteries. We recommend Duracell or Energizer brand as these perform best. Lithium/rechargeable batteries do not work in our locks. The battery backup pack was not made to be left plugged into your unit as a main source of power and it is not a charger. After you change your batteries you will need to scan your user card to get the lock to reset back into the latched position and close. Please change your batteries every 4-6 months or when you hear the low battery warning. |
