Please note that when changing your batteries, all of our locks require 4 AAA batteries. We recommend Duracell or Energizer brand as these perform best. Lithium/rechargeable batteries do not work in our locks. The battery backup pack was not made to be left plugged into your unit as a main source of power and it is not a charger. After you change your batteries you will need to scan your user card to get the lock to reset back into the latched position and close. Please change your batteries every 4-6 months or when you hear the low battery warning. Click Here for Written Instructions |

This quick fix will realign the hinges after shipping. Turn the third hinge screw all the way to the right on both hinges and then try closing the shelf. If it doesn't close, you may need to turn the screw one rotation to the left. Do this on both hinges and repeat until the shelf closes. |
Another quick adjustment is turning the lock pin so that it lines up with the locking mechanism. This might be needed if you bumped the pin while installing the foam. |

The battery backup port is on the right side of the end table and coffee table. |
Quickly turning the lock pin to realign it with the lock can resolve this and allow the table to close. It's also possible, the black box needs a little bit of an extra 'push' backwards with your thumb for it to line up with the locking mechanism and latch into place. If this doesn't resolve the problem, try turning the gray rubber piece at the back of the slide. |

If one end of the shelf is hanging lower than the other you'll need to adjust the very top screw of the hinge to even it out. |
Here's a quick fix if your mirror is rubbing the wall or has an uneven gap along the wall. |

|
Fixing a crooked frame is easy. Simply turn the bottom hinge screw on one side to even out the gap between the wall backer and frame. |
This method should only be used on units purchased prior to 2019 when battery backup backup technology was not available yet. All units after 2019 include the external battery backup pack that plugs into the unit to power the internal battery. |

After using the wedge tool to open your shelf, it's common for the locking mechanism to get removed from the top of the shelf during the process and stuck on the lock pin. This video will show you how to access the battery compartment to change your lock batteries, if that happens. |
